Next Thursday June 20 MCUBO participates in the conference organized by Ceit-IK4, SUEZ, FIAB and CDTI entitled: “ICT technologies applied in the agrifood sector”. The conference will be held at the new campus of the University of Navarra at 09.45 am.
Competitiveness is the driving force behind industry and translates into: adapting to change. In an increasingly digitalised society, technological and digital progress in the agri-food industry is increasingly essential. The agri-food value chain is one of the most complex and implies that this adaptation is carried out at different levels: primary, secondary and service sectors.

In a sector such as the food sector, the largest industrial sector at national level (representing more than 8 % of national GDP), it is crucial to adopt strategies that contribute to improving competitiveness; strategies that, given the current context, are increasingly technological in nature.

The event, which is supported by CDTI, SUEZ and FIAB, is aimed at companies in the agri-food and beverage sector interested in learning about the opportunities offered by ICT technologies as a lever for achieving improved competitiveness and increased sustainability in their production processes, as well as universities and research centres.

The day will feature the presentation of the MCUBO project, preceded by the presentation of the Food For Life-Spain Technology Platform. In addition, the opportunities of ICTs applied to water management in the agri-food industry will be discussed and success stories of digitisation in the industry will be presented. The day will conclude with the theme of “Microtechnologies for safety and quality in the food industry”, by Ceit-IK4, who will be succeeded by CDTI, analysing funding opportunities at national level.
