The LIFE project MCUBO participated in the conference: “CHALLENGES, IMPROVEMENTS AND NEW OPPORTUNITIES IN WATER MANAGEMENT OF THE FOOD INDUSTRY”.

The workshop, held in Ctic Cita facilities in Calahorra (La Rioja) on 22nd March, was focused on the World Water Day and the increasing awareness among the food companies about the water management in an efficient way, as it is a resource of vital importance.

Agrofood industry challenges in the water treatment and management were shown during the workshop.

The event had a spectacular reception and there were many companies that attended, as the agrifood sector is increasing their awareness of this issue and companies which are interested in improving their production processes are more each day.

LIFE MCUBO was presented as a new and innovative solution that support the companies to work with a better and more efficient management of water and energy, helping them and inspire to be more profitable and competitive.

During the event, a demonstration in Ctic Cita pilot plant was carried out. The objective of this real demo was shown how is the process to collect the data (through Plug&Lean monitoring system) and how these measurements can be implemented on the companies’ continuous improvement processes and environmental management resources, in order to help them in decision making, not only in the productive processes but also in the sewage treatment plant processes.
