“Strengthening the future of the water sector” is the Congress YWP Spain Network (Young Water Professionals) in which they will present the LIFE MCUBO project the days 16 to 18 of November in Bilbao.

The aim of the congress is to serve as a platform for professional development of young people dedicated to the water sector. This objective is perfectly aligned with the  LIFE MCUBO project whose purpose is to optimize the consumption of water and energy in the food industry and reduce the environmental impact associated to its management, as well as measure the water consumption in industrial production processes. The data resulting from these measurements will facilitate the decision making and therefore, the correct adjustment of the necessary measures to optimize the consumption of water in production processes.

The LIFE MCUBO project provides real-time data of consumption and management of water by means of sensors installed in companies that collaborate with the project. Sensors will be able to install the companies who want to optimize their processes, through the replication of the project in their facilities.

The theme of the congress, which this year takes place under the theme: “Strengthening the future of the water sector”, will be:
– The water sector 4.0.
– Integrated management of water resources.
– The role of the water sector in industry and agriculture.

The Congress is organized by the statewide network of Young Water Professionals (YWP) with the support of IWA, EHEA, the Consorcio de Aguas Bilbao Bizkaia and the collaboration of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
